Welcome Spring!!! Such a beautiful time of year. Flowers blooming, trees budding and warmer weather on its way!
Hopefully we’re in for a wonderful summer!
I’ve found that many people suffer from allergies and hay fever when the seasons change; especially in the spring and fall. Since traces of pollen are contained in honey, it is thought that when eating local honey, the body is exposed to these pollen traces and will build up a natural resistance to them. Therefore, local honey has been found to help relieve the symptoms of these allergies and helps the body build up a resistance to them. I am delighted that TeaLeafs now carries “Under the Sun” Honey which is a local honey. Their Raw, New York Goldenrod is harvested from non-migratory bees in the Allegheny Mountain foothills. Goldenrod produces nectar from late August through September and the honey is crystallized. Raw, New York Wildflower is a summer variety blend of Basswood, Locust, Soft Maple, Dandelion, Spotted Knapweed, and Honeysuckle. It is representative of the deep forest, gushing waters, and wildflower fields unique to western NY hill country. Raw, New York Bamboo is an autumn variety in crystallized form. Dark in color and stronger in flavor, Bamboo (Japanese Knotweed) is known for its strong medicinal properties. If you’re interested in sampling these delicious honeys, stop by TeaLeafs and ask us for a taste!!

I have been sampling quite a few teas and found a few that I have added to TeaLeafs Wall of Teas.
• Green Apple Kiwi is a lovely green tea with kiwi, fresh apples & juicy lime
• Cherry Pomegranate is an herb & fruit infusion with a delicious cherry flavor
• Raspberry Blackberry is an herb & fruit infusion with freeze-dried whole raspberries, blackberries and rhubarb pieces
• Decaffeinated Black Hot Cinnamon is finally back in stock. We have been waiting a very long time for its return!

In March I went to Chicago for a gift show. While there, I found a distributor with beautiful and fun teapots. From flowered teapots to animal teapots, they brighten any kitchen and have arrived at TeaLeafs.
I always visit Fred & Friends on my buying trips and I have been carrying their infusers for some time.
Each year they come out with more infuser characters. Purr Tea, Hot Dog and Arctic Tea are the newest in their line and I’m happy to say they’re now available for you at TeaLeafs.

Items that are “Made in the USA” are a wonderful addition to TeaLeafs and I am so excited to have added 3 new artists to the store.

For the last 33 years, Bruce Larrabee of Larrabee Studios has been a solo artist who works primarily in clay. Each piece is fired in a gas kiln. All works are original designs and handmade one at a time. No pieces are exactly alike. The fluidity of his glazes are a trademark of his work. All items are lead- free, dishwasher, microwave and food safe. His works can be found in over 100 galleries around the country. Larrabee Ceramics come from Park City, Utah and I am thrilled to have a selection of his mugs in the shop.
Donna McCavitt’s motto of McCavitt Designs, LLC is “Laughter and Art can make life more joyful” and it shows in her mini dishes that are perfect as a teabag holder/ ring holder/ sugar holder/ salt holder. Swirls and Filigree and Polka Dots are abundant in her handmade pieces. Donna’s works are hand built and sculpted clay art. They are dishwasher safe and come with a custom stamped gift box.
